Mukhyamantri Krishi Vaniki Yojana has been started by the Bihar government for all the farmer brothers of their state. Under this scheme, the farmers have to plant poplar along with the crop on the dole of their field or on the vacant place. For which farmers will be given a poplar plant from the government nursery for ₹ 10 and this ₹ 10 will also be returned to the farmers after 3 years. Apart from this, in case of survival of 50% or more of these plants purchased by the Forest Department after 3 years, additional benefit at the rate of ₹ 60 per tree will be given. While planting trees by the farmers, the minimum height of the plants should be 10 feet and the sphere should be 2.5 inches.

Under krishi Vaniki Yojana, all necessary information will also be provided to the farmers by the Environment and Forest Department of Bihar to take care of the plants and when the plants take the form of trees, their cuttings will also be provided free of cost by the local office of the Forest Department. Let us tell you the most important thing that when the plant grows, its full benefit will be provided to the farmers, that is, the government will not have any share in the profit.

Objective of Mukhyamantri Krishi Vaniki Yojana
The purpose of starting this scheme of the government is to increase the income of the farmers by planting poplar plants. You must be aware that poplar trees are sold at a very good price when they grow after 5-7 years. Due to which farmers get maximum financial assistance. Through Krishi Vaniki Yojana Bihar, farmers will be provided with all the important information related to taking care of poplar plants as well as protecting them. Apart from this, this scheme will also help in protecting the environment in the state. Poplar nursery will be established in 2150 acres of private land in Bihar.
Benefits of Bihar Krishi Vaniki Yojana
- Under this scheme, all the farmer brothers will be provided the facility of cutting poplar trees free of cost from the local offices of the Environment and Forest Department.
- Apart from this, all the necessary information related to the care of poplar plants will also be provided to the farmers.
- By joining krishi Vaniki Yojana Bihar, the farmer can get the benefit of buying plants of ₹ 10 per one poplar from local government nurseries and this amount of ₹ 10 per tree will also be returned to the farmers after 3 years.
- Apart from this, on the survival of 50% of these plants purchased from the Forest Department after 3 years, additional benefit will be given at the rate of ₹ 60 per tree.
- When the planted poplar saplings grow up, their benefit will be fully available to the farmers.
- Through this scheme, 150 lakh poplar trees will be planted in the fields of farmers.
- Mukhyamantri Krishi Vaniki Yojana has been started for plantation of poplar trees under Hariyali Mission.
- Poplar nursery will also be set up on 2150 acres of private land in Bihar.

Eligibility Criteria under Mukhyamantri Krishi Vaniki Yojana
- All farmer brothers of Bihar are eligible to apply under this scheme.
- Applicant farmer’s own land or land taken on lease but the land taken on lease should be for at least 3 years.
- For planting poplar plants, the ground level should be free from high water logging.
- ₹ 20000 should be deposited as capital under the scheme in the bank account of the farmer.
- There should be a complete system of irrigation for planting poplar plants in the farmer’s land.
- The land for allotment through this scheme has been kept from half an acre to 3 acres per person.

Application process under Bihar Krishi Vaniki Yojana
- Firstly the applicant farmer has to visit the official website of Environment & Forest Department http://forest.bih.nic.resultgov.co.in/.
- On the homepage of the website, you have to click on the option of apply online in the menu section.
- Now the application form will open in front of you.
- After this you have to enter all the information asked in this form.
- After this you have to click on the option of generate OTP.
- As soon as you click on Generate OTP option, an OTP will be received on your registered mobile number.
- Now you enter that OTP in the OTP column.
- After this you have to click on the option of Proceed.
- Now you will get 12 number registration ID in your mobile. By this ID you can correct any kind of error in the application form.
- After this you have to enter the species of plant and the number of plants in the next page.
- After entering all the details, you have to click on Save Draft.
- If you click on Final Submit option then no correction can be done by you in the form.
- If you click on the option of Save as Draft then you can amend the application form. For this, you have to click on the option of Already Registration and enter the registration number of 12 numbers.
- Now you have to upload all the documents and passport size photograph along with the form.
- After that you have to click on Submit option.
- If you want to take a print out of the application form, then click on the option of Print Application.
- In this way you can make your application under Mukhyamantri Krishi Vaniki Yojana.
Process to check your application status
- Firstly the applicant farmer has to visit the official website of Environment & Forest Department.
- On the homepage of the website, you have to click on the option of Check Application Status.
- Now a page will open in front of you.
- On this page you have to enter your Application ID number.
- After this you have to click on the option of Show.
- Now you will get the related information on your computer screen.
