The Government of Chhattisgarh has started the Solar Sujala Yojana to solve the problems related to irrigation of the crops of the farmers. Under this scheme, problems related to irrigation of crops will be solved by providing solar pumps at a low cost to the farmers.

The Government of Chhattisgarh has started the Chhattisgarh Solar Sujala Yojana (Saur Sujala Yojana) to provide solar pump to improve the yield of the crops of the farmers, so that the farmers can increase their yield. Farmers should not face any problem, because the state government wants that there should be no farmers in the state. This scheme has been started to improve the crops of the farmers and uplift the farmers.

Objective for CG Saur Sujala Yojana
Under this scheme, the state government wants to strengthen agriculture and rural development areas in Chhattisgarh. The state government is distributing 3HP and 5HP capacities to farmers and solar powered irrigation pumps worth 3.5 lakh to 4.5 lakh rupees. The state government will provide pumps at concessional rates to farmers by 31 March 2020. In the next two years, 51000 farmers in Chhattisgarh will benefit from the Solar Sujala scheme.
The scheme will be implemented by the Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency under the Department of Energy, Government of Chhattisgarh. Under this scheme, about 11000 solar pumps have been distributed to farmers in many areas of the state within the current financial year 2016-17. Under Chhattisgarh Solar Sujala Yojana, the beneficiaries will be selected by the Agriculture Department of the state government. Such farmers who are already benefited under borewell or pump scheme can also avail this scheme.

Benefits of Chhattisgarh Saur Sujala Yojana
- Solar powered irrigation pumps will be distributed to farmers in Chhattisgarh under Chhattisgarh Saur Sujala Yojana.
- Solar pumps of 3HP and 5HP of 5 lakh rupees will be distributed to the farmers.
Farmers can choose solar irrigation pump according to their usage, such as 3HP pumps for small farmers and 5HP pumps will be better for big farmers. - The Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA) will be responsible for installing and maintaining solar pump equipment for the eligible farmers.
- Under this scheme, the government is offering some subsidized rates of 3HP and 5HP capacity solar powered irrigation pumps at 5 lakhs and 4.5 lakhs.
- It is estimated that the discounted rate of 3HP solar pump will be from 7000 to 18000 and the subsidy on 5HP solar pump is likely to be around 10,000 to 20000 rupees.
- According to the Chhattisgarh Solar Sujala Yojana, no concession amount has been announced for the farmers.
- Distribution under this scheme will be done from March 31 to 2021 with the launch. This will benefit about 51000 thousand farmers.
- Special attention will be given to providing solar irrigation pumps to the farmers living in the village who have not yet got electricity as the pumps will be distributed on a priority basis.
- Under Chhattisgarh Solar Sujala Yojana, farmers have the option of getting two types of solar pumps.
Offline application for Saur Sujala Scheme

- First of all you have to go to the application form block offices and agricultural offices in taluka / district. After that you have to take the application form from there.
- In this application form, you have to enter the details of your personal information and attach your necessary documents.

- If the applicant is eligible for this scheme then the solar irrigation pump will be given to the farmers at a subsidized rate.
