Kalaignarin Kanavu Illam Scheme 2024
Tamilnadu government has announced to launch TN Kalaignarin Kanavu Illam Scheme on 19 February 2024. This scheme is a part of mission for “Hut-free Tamil Nadu” by 2030. In this mission, around 8 lakh houses would be constructed in rural areas. Each beneficiary will get house which would be constructed at unit cost of Rs. 3.5 lakh per house. In the 1st phase, around 1 lakh new houses would be built with an outlay of Rs. 3500 crore.

Among the seven objectives were social justice, the welfare of the marginalized, and preparing the Tamil young to succeed globally. With the help of its welfare programs, the state has significantly reduced poverty. Tamil Nadu only had 2.2% of its population living below the poverty line, according to the NITI Aayog. It has been announced in the Tamil Nadu budget that 8 lakh concrete houses will be built for 3500 crore rupees in the name of the artist’s dream house.
