Bihar Kushal Yuva Program 2024

The Government of Bihar has started the Skilled Youth Program (KYP) with the objective of providing employment to the youth of the state and enabling them to take up jobs. This government scheme is part of Bihar Skill Development Mission. In which skill training is provided to the youth. So that they can get jobs easily. The Kushal Yuva Abhiyan (KYP Program) was started by the state government on October 2016 in the state.

Till now lakhs of youth have registered online in this under this skillful youth campaign going on in Bihar. and got the job. Due to this, this 3-year old KYP scheme has become very popular among the youth. The aim of the state government is that the children who fall behind due to lack of understanding of computer and English. They have to help move through this program.

Purpose of Bihar Kushal Yuva Program

The main objective of Bihar Kushal Yuva Yojana is to provide skill training to the citizens of the state. Through this scheme, the youth of the state will get help in getting employment. Now the citizens of the state will be able to get free skill training through this scheme, so that their skills will be developed and the unemployment rate will come down in the state. Through this scheme the youth of the state will become strong and self-reliant and their standard of living will also improve. The youth of the state will also be able to get information about life skills, communication skills and basic computer literacy through this scheme.

Key facts of Bihar Kushal Yuva Program

• The curriculum of Bihar Kushal Yuva Program will consist of 3 components which are Life Skills, Communication Skills and Basic Computer Literacy.
• The duration covering all these three courses will be 240 hours.
• Out of these 240 hours life skills for 40 hours, communication skills for 80 hours and basic computer literacy will be covered in 120 hours.
• E-learning mode will be used for training delivery.
• Evaluation of trainers will be done to maintain the quality of training and training centres.
• Only certified trainers who have passed the assessment are eligible to impart training.
• It will be the responsibility of the training centers to ensure that the trainers appointed by them have cleared the OnCET exam.
• Step-by-step progress of each candidate will be monitored through the web portal.
• This scheme has been launched by Bihar Skill Development Mission on 16 December 2016.
• The youth of 15 to 28 years of the state are eligible to get the benefit of this scheme.
• The benefit of this scheme can be availed by only those youths who have passed class X.

KYP Center Registration Fee Structure

• The application fee of ₹ 3000 will have to be paid by the training center while filling the registration form.
• The training center will also have to deposit ₹ 1000 course affiliation fee.
• In addition, a non-refundable processing fee will be required to be paid at any time to the Training Center which will be ₹ 500.
• Every year the training center will have to renew its application.
• The fee for renewal of application will be ₹ 1500.
• The training center will also have to renew the course affiliation fee every year.
• ₹ 1000 will have to be paid to renew the course application fee.
• Fee can be paid through net banking or debit card or credit card.

Bihar Kushal Yuva Program Course Fee

• The beneficiary will have to deposit a security deposit of ₹ 1000 while taking admission under this scheme.
• This fee will be returned to the beneficiary after successful completion of the course duration.
• This fee will be deposited in the account of the beneficiary within one month of the completion of the training period.
• The amount will not be refunded to the beneficiary who leaves the course midway or fails to clear the final exam even after three attempts.

Bihar Kushal Yuva Program Eligibility

• Applicant should be a permanent resident of Bihar.
• Applicant’s age should be between 15 to 28 years.
• The educational qualification of the candidate should be at least 10th pass.
• It is mandatory for all the youth who are between 20 to 25 years of age and are provided with Self Help Allowance, to complete this training.
