A few months ago, due to storms and hailstorms, many houses in the rural areas were destroyed in large numbers. In such a situation, Jharkhand Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Awas Yojana has been launched by the government for the purpose of providing relief to the families living in these houses. Through this scheme, pucca houses will be provided by the government to all those families whose houses have been demolished.

Jharkhand Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Awas Yojana has been launched by the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Hemant Soren. Through this scheme benefits will be provided to all those families living in rural areas whose houses have been damaged or demolished due to storm and hailstorm. Apart from this, the benefit of this scheme will also be provided to the families affected by the disaster, as well as to the widowed women and homeless women. Under this scheme, the beneficiary will be provided wages under MNREGA for 95 days and three installments of ₹ 130000 to get the house constructed. ₹ 40000 in the first installment, ₹ 85000 in the second installment and ₹ 5000 in the third installment will be paid to the beneficiaries. This money will be disbursed directly into the beneficiary’s account.

Objective of Jharkhand Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Awas Yojana
The main objective of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Awas Yojana is to provide financial assistance for construction of houses to all those families living in rural areas whose houses have been demolished due to natural calamity. Apart from this, financial assistance is also provided to widow women and homeless women through this scheme for construction of houses.
Under the Jharkhand Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Awas Yojana, the amount provided for the construction of the house is distributed in the account of the beneficiary in three installments. This scheme will prove to be effective in improving the standard of living of the citizens living in rural areas. Apart from this, the citizens of the state will also become strong and self-reliant through this scheme.

- Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Awas Yojana has been launched by Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
- Through this scheme, all those families living in rural areas will be provided benefits whose houses have been damaged or demolished due to storm and hailstorm.
- Widow women and homeless women will also be provided benefits through this scheme.
- Beneficiaries will be given 95 days wages under MNREGA and an installment of ₹ 130000 for house construction under this scheme.
- In the first installment ₹ 40000, in the second installment ₹ 85000 and in the third installment ₹ 5000 will be paid to the beneficiaries.
- This money will be disbursed directly into the beneficiary’s account.
- The beneficiary will have to complete the construction of the house within a period of 12 months from the date of receipt of financial assistance under this scheme.
- Instructions have been given to all the Deputy Commissioners and Deputy Development Commissioners to implement this scheme.
- All the Deputy Commissioners will have to identify the beneficiaries in their district.
- After identifying the beneficiaries, a list of all the beneficiaries will be prepared and sent to the headquarters.
- All those districts in which the target of allotment of houses under the scheme has been met, houses will also be allotted to the affected citizens.

- All the Deputy Commissioners will identify the beneficiaries of their district.
- After identification, the list of beneficiaries will be prepared.
- This list will be sent to the headquarters.
- After which all the beneficiaries will be verified.
- After verification, the benefit amount will be distributed to the beneficiaries.
