Pashu Shed Yojana Bihar is being operated in Bihar to encourage cattle farmers by providing them financial assistance for construction of animal sheds. Under this scheme, financial assistance is given to the beneficiary livestock owners on the basis of animals for construction of sheds for maintenance and proper care of their animals. Bihar State Government and Central Government together have implemented Pashu Shed Scheme in four states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Punjab. In the coming time, this scheme will be implemented in the whole country.

Pashu Shed Scheme Bihar has been implemented by the Government of Bihar in the interest of the cattle owners of their state. Under this scheme, those livestock owners can apply who do not have proper place to keep their animals and the necessary items for care. Through this scheme, financial assistance is given to the cattle owners to build sheds for the maintenance and care of animals.

Through Pashu Shed Yojana Bihar, the state government gives assistance according to the number of animals, for example, applicants who have three animals are given assistance ranging from ₹ 75000 to ₹ 80000. Applicants who have four animals are given financial assistance of ₹ 116000 and applicants who have more than 4 animals, ₹ 160000. With the amount of this financial assistance, livestock owners can raise their animals well by arranging convenient land, shed construction, ventilated roof, urinal tank etc. for their animals, which will increase their income and make them financially strong.

The main objective of starting this scheme is to increase the income of small cattle farmers. Under Pashu Shed Yojana Bihar, interested cattle farmers who want to build cattle sheds can take advantage of this scheme by constructing a shed on their own flat land. At the same time, if there is sunlight there and on the contrary, if there is no need for sunlight, then that place can also be closed.

Interested cattle owners will have to go to their nearest public representative and fill the application form to get the animal shed constructed under this scheme. After this, financial assistance will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer. This scheme is an MNREGA scheme, so the amount of financial assistance under this scheme is not transferred by the government to the bank account of the animal husband and it is provided through the concerned officer.

• The cattle farmers of Bihar who follow buffalo, chicken, cow, goat etc. can get the cattle shed constructed under this scheme.
• There should be flat land for the construction of cattle shed.
• The land on which the shed is being constructed should be owned by the cattle owner or farmer.
• The length of the animal shed should be in the north and south direction. This gives the animals more sunlight.
• If the cattle owner has four animals, then he will get the benefit of subsidy of 1 lakh 16 thousand.

• To apply under Bihar Pashu Shed Scheme, the applicant should have a job card of MNREGA scheme.
• The applicant animal husbandry must have at least three animals.
• Only citizens who rear cow, buffalo, chicken, goat are eligible to apply under this scheme.
