Krishak Unnati Yojana was announced to be started keeping in mind the farmers of Chhattisgarh.

In the scheme, BJP has promised the farmers that as soon as they win the Chhattisgarh elections and form the government, they will purchase paddy from the farmers at reasonable prices. Now as BJP has won the elections in Chhattisgarh, it can be expected that Krishak Unnati Yojana will be started in the state soon. Under Chhattisgarh Krishak Unnati Yojana, the government will purchase paddy from the beneficiary farmers. Chhattisgarh government will purchase paddy from farmers at the rate of Rs 3,100/- per quintal. Chhattisgarh government will purchase 21 quintals per acre of paddy from each farmer.

Apart from this, availability of sacks will also be ensured by the government before purchasing paddy. To ensure that farmers get complete payment in one installment and they do not have to stand in long queues, the government will set up cash withdrawal counters of banks in every Panchayat building. Soon the official guidelines of Krishak Unnati Yojana will be issued by the government. • Procurement of Paddy: Paddy will be procured from farmers by the government itself.
• Paddy Rate: Paddy will be purchased from farmers at the rate of Rs 3,100/- per quintal.
• Quantity of paddy purchased: 21 quintals of paddy per acre will be purchased by the government.
• Cash counters of banks: Cash counters of banks will be installed in every Panchayat building.
• Availability of sacks: Availability of sacks will be ensured by the government even before the purchase of paddy.

Eligibility for Krishak Unnati Yojana

• The beneficiary should be a native of Chhattisgarh.
• The beneficiary should be a small and marginal farmer.
• Information related to income and other eligibility will be released after the implementation of the scheme.
