Savitribai Phule Aadhaar Scheme has been started by the Maharashtra Government to provide financial assistance to the economically weaker OBC category students of its state. Through this scheme, the state government will provide financial assistance of Rs 60,000 to poor students of OBC category to complete their education. So that students can complete their studies without any financial problem.

Dnyanjyoti Savitribai Phule Aadhaar Scheme has been launched by the Government of Maharashtra. Through this scheme, financial assistance for education will be provided to the poor OBC category students of the state. Maharashtra Government will provide financial assistance of Rs 60,000 per year to OBC category students for pursuing higher education. The amount of financial assistance provided will be transferred to the bank account of the students through DBT. Under this scheme, the amount received by the student will be given after estimating the food expenses, residence expenses and living expenses.
Under this scheme, 600 students in each district i.e. a total of 21600 students will be benefited by the Other Backward Bahujan Development Department. By availing the benefit of this scheme, students can complete their education without any financial crisis.
Objective of Dnyanjyoti Savitribai Phule Aadhaar Scheme
Savitribai Phule Aadhar Yojana aims to help the students in the state who face challenges in getting admission in government hostels or colleges due to various reasons. Sometimes, even if they succeed in getting admission, it becomes a burden to bear all the expenses. Understanding these difficulties, the state government has launched this scheme to provide annual financial assistance of Rs 60,000 to economically poor students of OBC category.
The purpose of this financial aid is to help students cover their essential expenses such as food, accommodation and other necessities, allowing them to focus on their studies without worrying about financial constraints. The scheme specifically targets higher education students from Special Backward Classes, excluding the Nomadic Tribe-C category Dhangar community. It has been approved to benefit 600 students per district, a total of 21,600 students across the state, enabling them to pursue their higher education without facing financial difficulties.
Eligibility for Dnyanjyoti Savitribai Phule Aadhaar Scheme
Eligibility for Dayawati Savitri Phule Aadhaar Scheme: The following eligibility has been prescribed by the government to apply under Dnyanjyoti Savitri Phule Aadhaar Scheme, by fulfilling which students can avail the benefits of the scheme.
- The applicant student must be a resident of Maharashtra state.
- For students applying from disabled category, certificate of more than 40% disability from the District Surgeon is mandatory.
- The applicant must belong to OBC category. For which it is mandatory for him to have caste certificate.
- Orphan certificate from the competent authority from the Department of Women and Child Welfare is mandatory for students applying from orphan category.
- The annual income of the parents of the student should not exceed Rs 2.50 lakh.
- The student’s bank account should be linked to the Aadhar card.
- The applicant student should be studying in another city and should be living in a hostel or rented room.

Amount received under Dnyanjyoti Savitribai Phule Aadhaar Scheme
The assistance provided to students through Dnyanjyoti Savitribai Phule Aadhaar Yojana comes in the form of various allowances designed to meet multiple needs. Each department receives a specific amount of money to assist students in different areas.
- In busy cities like Mumbai, Pune and others, students are entitled to the following allowances:
- Food allowance: Rs 32,000
- Housing Allowance: Rs 20,000
- Subsistence Allowance: Rs 8,000
- This brings a total assistance of Rs 60,000 per year for students in these urban areas. For students in municipal areas, the allowances are:
- Food allowance: Rs 28,000
- Housing Allowance: Rs 8,000
- Subsistence Allowance: Rs 15,000
- Thus, students pursuing higher education in metropolitan areas get a total assistance of Rs 51,000 per year. The following allowances are provided to students in district or taluk locations:
- Food allowance: Rs 25,000
- Housing Allowance: Rs 12,000
- Subsistence Allowance: Rs 6,000
This is a total financial assistance of Rs 43,000 per year from the state government for students studying in district or taluk departments.
How to apply under Dnyanjyoti Savitribai Phule Aadhaar Yojana
If you want to apply under Savitribai Phule Aadhaar Scheme, then you can apply through offline process. The process of applying offline is given below, following which students can apply offline and get benefits.
- First of all you have to go to your nearest social welfare office.
- By going there you will have to get the application form of Savitri Phule Aadhar Yojana from the concerned officer.
- After receiving the application form, you will have to enter the information asked in it carefully.
- After this you will have to attach the required documents with the application form.
- Now you will not have to return this application form from where you received it.
- After submitting the application form you will be given the amount of the application form.
- After this your application form will be scrutinized.
- If you are eligible under the scheme, you will be given the benefit of financial assistance amount.
