In our country, the economic condition of the people doing fish farming is full of contingency. In such a situation, the Government of Chhattisgarh has implemented CG Matsya Vikas Puraskar Yojana in Chhattisgarh to encourage and provide financial assistance to the people doing fisheries work of their state.

Through this scheme, ₹ 100000 is given as a reward to the people associated with fish farming employment. Under this scheme, any person, organization, community or institution can apply for receiving the prize money. After applying, it is seen by the selection committee that which applicant is eligible to get the prize money. The applicant who is eligible to receive the prize money, is awarded a financial assistance of 1 lakh in the form of award by honoring him under the Mrs. Bilasabai Kewantin Matsya Vikas Puraskar Yojana.

Some conditions and rules prescribed under Matsya Vikas Puraskar Yojana

• The applicant individual / organization / institution / co-operative society can apply under this scheme only once. That is, the application again will not be valid.
• To apply, it is mandatory for you to submit the application form along with the necessary certificates to your nearest fisheries department before the last date.
• If you are willing to apply online then you have to register your application by visiting the official website of the scheme before the last date of application.
• As a document in the application form, you have to submit a photo copy of your work or a video of that work, whichever you have.
• The applications of applicants will be reviewed by the Department of Fisheries and all decisions regarding the selection of the award will be made by the Selection Committee of the Department of Fisheries, which will be final and binding.
• A prize money of ₹ 100000 will be given to honor the applicants who will be eligible to receive the award by announcing their names.

Eligibility Criteria under Matsya Vikas Puraskar Scheme

• The applicant should be a permanent resident of Chhattisgarh.
• Only people engaged in fisheries employment are eligible to apply under this scheme.
• The applicant is eligible to apply under this scheme only once in his lifetime.
• The applicant should have done good work in the field of fisheries development i.e. in the development of fishes.
• Under this scheme, fishermen / fishermen / cooperative organizations / farmers / organizations can apply for fish farming.
• The person who is doing his work in fish seed production and its progress, promotion, fish production (minimum 3000 kg/ha) under the development of fish (fish development work area).
• Along with fish, people doing poultry, duck, pig, dairy farming are also eligible to apply under this scheme.
• Those individuals, communities, organizations and institutions who are doing water sector development work in addition to fisheries and those who work for conservation and protection of extinct fish are also eligible for this scheme.
• Fishermen engaged in research to prevent diseases caused by fishes are also eligible to take advantage of this scheme.

• In this form, you have to read and enter all the asked information carefully.

• You can submit your form to the District Joint Director Fisheries, Deputy Director Fisheries or Assistant Director Fisheries.
• You can get information about your award by contacting the fisheries department officer at the district level, fish inspector at the block level, assistant fish officers.
