Farmers are being encouraged to do animal husbandry by the Jharkhand government. For which Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Vikas Yojana Jharkhand has been started by Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Under this scheme, subsidy will be provided by the state government to the farmers to buy milch animals. By applying under Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Vikas Yojana Jharkhand, farmers can get additional means of livelihood by getting subsidy for the purchase of milch animals.

Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Vikas Yojana Jharkhand has been started by Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren to increase the income of farmers. Through the Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Vikas Yojana Jharkhand, farmers will be given the benefit of subsidy for animal husbandry by the state government. The benefit of this scheme will be provided to the farmers, widow women, disabled etc. of the state. Under this scheme, the subsidy has been determined by the state government according to the farmer class.

Under the Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Vikas Yojana, farmers will be provided subsidy benefits ranging from 50% to 90% from the state government. For the smooth operation of this scheme, a budget of about Rs 660 crore has been fixed by the state government. Cow rearing, goat rearing, poultry, duck rearing etc. have been included under this scheme by the Government of Jharkhand. Eligible beneficiaries can get the benefit of grant for animal husbandry by applying under the scheme.

Objective of Chief Minister Livestock Development Scheme

The objective of starting the Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Vikas Yojana by the Government of Jharkhand is to provide subsidy to promote animal husbandry. Through this scheme, farmers, widowed women, handicapped etc. will be provided benefits for purchasing milch cattle. For which they will be provided subsidy ranging from 50% to 90%. For the successful operation of this scheme, a budget of Rs 660 crore has been fixed by the government so that subsidy can be easily made available to the beneficiaries. Cow rearing, goat rearing, poultry, duck rearing etc. have been included by the government under the Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Vikas Yojana, subsidy will be provided for these animals only. This scheme will increase the income of the cattle rearers and enable them to lead a better life.

• Through this scheme, subsidy is provided to the farmers for animal husbandry by the state government.

• Jharkhand government has decided to start ambulance facility and high quality diagnostic and other testing laboratory and mobile veterinary clinic for the health of animals.
• In order to protect animals from various diseases, vaccine drug production and laboratory is being developed at the Animal Health and Production Institute, Kanke at a cost of Rs 28.69 crore.
• About 1 crore drug vaccines will be manufactured in this laboratory.
