The Punjab Government has launched the Punjab Doorstep Ration Delivery Scheme for the people of Punjab. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced this scheme on March 28, 2022. Through this scheme, the government will provide door-to-door rations to the poor. People no longer need to go to the depot and live in squalor. Through this scheme, the government officials will call and ask when they will be at home, and accordingly the rations will be delivered to their homes. As we all know BPL families had to go to the depot and wait for hours for rations. So it was my turn to get rations. At the same time, in order to get rations, the working class people had to take leave from their wages and go for goods. With this in mind the Punjab Government has launched the Punjab Doorstep Ration Delivery Scheme.
Through this scheme the government would automatically deliver the rations to the homes of the people of Punjab so that one would have to take leave from his work and wait for rations. Through this scheme government officials will spank you on the phone and ask what time you are available at home and the rations will be delivered to the house according to that time.

Bhagwant Mann, while releasing the scheme, had said, “If people in India can order anything from home, why this discrimination against the poor? Why do they have to stand all day to get rations?” That is why this scheme was launched. The door-to-door ration scheme was earlier extended to Delhi.
