The Rajasthan Ambedkar DBT Voucher Scheme has been launched by the Government of Rajasthan. Through this scheme, vouchers for residential facilities will be made available to the reserved category students studying in the state’s reserved category (SC, ST, OBC, MBC and EWS) colleges. Through which if the student resides at the divisional headquarters, he will be provided financial assistance of ₹ 7000 per month and if the student resides at other district headquarters, ₹ 5000 per month.

Under this scheme, 5000 students will be provided vouchers for 10 months on the basis of merit. Rajasthan Ambedkar DBT Voucher Yojana will be availed only by those students who live in urban areas away from their home to get education.
The Social Justice and Empowerment Minister informed that the system of submission of online applications of the students has been implemented in the scheme. Interested beneficiaries can apply for details on the department’s website http://sje.rajasthan.gov.in. Application will be made through E-Mitra or SSO ID or through Jan Aadhaar card on portal SSO.rajasthan.gov.in and http://sjms.rajasthan.in. After accepting the applications online, the prescribed amount will be paid through DBT in the bank account of the student. To get the benefit of this scheme, applications will be invited by the government till 15 December 2022.

Objective of Ambedkar DBT Voucher Scheme
The main objective of Ambedkar DBD Voucher Scheme is to provide vouchers for residential facility to reserved category students studying in reserved colleges living away from their homes. Through this scheme, financial assistance of ₹ 5000 to ₹ 7000 will be provided to the students of the state for housing facility. Now the students of the state will get accommodation through Rajasthan Ambedkar DVT Voucher Scheme to go for education away from their home so that they can do their studies without any worry. Through this scheme, students will be made self-reliant and empowered and the education and employment rate of the state will also increase.
DBT Voucher Scheme 5000 students will be provided benefits
Rajasthan Ambedkar DBT Voucher Scheme has been operated to provide residential facilities to the students. Through this scheme, students are provided ₹ 2000 per month for a maximum of 10 months. Students of SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS categories can get the benefit of this scheme. 5000 students will be benefitted through this scheme at the state level.
- To get the benefit of this scheme, it is mandatory for the student to study regularly in the undergraduate or postgraduate classes of the Government College in the academic level 2021-22.
- Apart from this, to get the benefit of this scheme, the annual income of the applicant’s family has been fixed at Rs 2.5 lakh for SC, ST, MBC students, Rs 3 lakh for OBC students and Rs 1 lakh for EWS students.
Some important points to get benefit
The decision to start the Rajasthan Ambedkar DBD Voucher Scheme was taken in the state budget 2021-22. The scheme will be implemented by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department. This scheme will be started from the academic level 2021-22. Only those students can get the benefit of this scheme who are studying regularly in graduation and post graduation classes. Students living in government run hostels are not eligible for this scheme. Those students who are not doing regular studies also cannot get the benefit of Rajasthan Ambedkar DBT Voucher Scheme.
Only 5000 students who have secured minimum 75% marks in the last percentage will be given the benefit of this scheme. If you also want to get the benefit of this scheme, then you have to apply as soon as possible. The benefit amount will be directly transferred to the student’s bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer.
Money will be sent to the beneficiary’s account through DBT
It is mandatory for the applicant to be a resident of the city council, municipality of the district in which he is studying in the government college. If the student’s guardian or parents have their own house available in the city or place where they are studying, then that student will not be given the benefit of this scheme. All the students can apply through E Mitra, SSO ID portal to get the benefits of Rajasthan Ambedkar DBT Voucher Scheme. The online application forms received by the government college in which the student is studying will be scrutinised. After scrutiny, if the application is found correct, it will be sent to the sanctioning authority. By accepting the applications online by the officer, the amount of benefit will be paid directly to the beneficiary’s account through DBT.
