Telangana Nethanna Bima Scheme 2024

The Government of Telangana plans to extend insurance coverage to the deprived weaver families of handloom and power loom. In this regard, the state government has scheduled the launch of the Nethanna Bima scheme on 7th August. The scheme benefits aim to uplift the overall condition of the weaver’s community. After the death of a weaver, the family will be given rupees 5 lakhs. Here, the handloom and textile industries take the main initiative.

The state government also helps handloom weavers through two other schemes: the Chenetha Mitra scheme and the Nethanna Ku Cheyutha. Under one plan, the state government gives handloom workers a 40 percent subsidy. Under another plan, the state government gives handloom workers a 16 percent financial aid deposit as a state share of the 8 percent thrift savings paid by the workers in a cooperative sector. But these programs can only help Handloom Weavers who are enrolled in them.

• The low-income families of the power loom and handloom weavers are the beneficiaries of the scheme.
• The weaver families who are registered for the scheme will get rupees 5 lakhs for the scheme.
• The main idea of the scheme is to uplift the weaving community using financial support.
• The scheme has launched on 7th August, which is National Handloom Day.
• The department of handlooms and textile under the Telangana State government will work as the nodal agency for the successful implementation of the scheme.
• KTR said that the Telangana government is implementing several welfare schemes mainly to uplift the weaving community.
• The Telangana state government is allocating a special budget of rupees 1200 crores for the betterment of power loom and handloom sectors. Another 400 crores have been allotted to improve the condition of the weaker conditions

Telangana Nethanna Bima Scheme Objectives

The main objective of this program is that the state government wants to improve existing insurance coverage for the handloom weavers of the state. The government intensely improves the lives of handloom weavers by introducing many schemes for their betterment. The government already allocated Rs. 1200 crore every year from 2016 to the handloom and textile industries.

Telangana Nethanna Bima Scheme Benefits

Numerous benefits which are covered under the Nethanna Ku Bima scheme are:

• Every weaver between the ages of 18 and 59 is protected by this insurance scheme, which is referred to as the weaver’s scheme.
• In accordance with the terms of this plan, the sum of 5,00,000 is distributed retroactively to the weaver’s family or the nominee of their choice.
• The money from the insurance policy is deposited ten days after the person has passed away.
• In order for this plan to be successful, the committees at the state level, as well as the district level, will participate in it and contribute to it.

Eligibility Criteria Telangana Nethanna Bima Scheme

To be eligible to participate in the Nethanna Bima program, the applicant must be aware of and meet the following requirements:

• Candidate should be the permanent residence of Telangana so then they can apply for the scheme.
• If the applicant is from another state, then they cannot enrol themselves in this scheme.
• All the candidates should have a experience as a participant in the Rythu Bima insurance scheme.
• Only adult weavers between the ages of 18 and 59,are eligible to apply to this program.

Telangana Nethanna Bima Scheme Documents

The necessary documentation for the scheme is as :

• Telangana state identification card holder’s address
• Aadhar card, mobile number, and email address
• Documentation formally submitted to the department of handloom and textile production

Process of Registration under the scheme

As the scheme is scheduled to be launched on 7th August, the procedure for online registration is yet to be disclosed by the state government. The official portal of the scheme is yet to be launched. Therefore, the interested candidates should keep an eye on the upcoming updates and register for the scheme.
