Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ji has announced to start the UP Free Bus Service scheme through a tweet on the day of Rakshabandhan on 10 August 2022. He wrote in his tweet that “We in Uttar Pradesh are going to make arrangements for free travel in government buses for mothers and sisters above 60 years of age very soon.” That is, after the implementation of this scheme, all women above the age of 60 years of the state will be able to avail the facility of free commuting in government buses. On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, free bus service was given to the women of the state for 48 hours by the Yogi government.

Similarly, now women above the age of 60 years of the state will be given the facility of free travel in government roadways buses. Now through the UP free bus service, old women will not have to be financially dependent on any other citizen to travel anywhere and they can easily come anywhere for free.

The main objective of starting the UP Free Bus Service of the Yogi government is to provide free transport facility to the mothers and sisters above 60 years of age for commuting anywhere in the state.
