Uttar Pradesh Devi Ahilyabai Free Education Scheme has been started to educate girls from poor families in Uttar Pradesh. Through UP Ahilyabai Nishulk Shiksha Yojana, girls will be provided free education till graduation. So that girls from poor families can also become entitled to a bright future by getting education till graduation. Because most of the girls from poor families are deprived of education due to lack of money. But now through this scheme she can easily study till graduation without worrying about money.

Inspired by the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has started the UP Ahilyabai Nishulk Shiksha Yojana. Through this scheme, free education will be provided to the daughters up to the graduate level by the state government. Along with this, things like uniforms, school bags, books and copies etc. will also be given to them free of cost.

This year a budget of Rs 21 crore 12 lakh has been set under this scheme. Arrangements are being made by the government to pay the education fees of the beneficiary girls from this session. This scheme is being operated and monitored by the UP Higher Education Department. For the first time in the state, provision has been made to provide free education up to graduate level. Through the Uttar Pradesh Ahilyabai Free Education Scheme, poor girls of all caste, class and religion will be able to get educated till graduation. So that he will also be able to ensure his participation in every field.

Assistance given under Ahilyabai Nishulk Shiksha Yojana

• Financial assistance of ₹ 2000 will be given to the poor girl students who have secured good marks in the board examination.
• Under this scheme, poor eligible daughters will be provided free education up to graduation level by the state government.
• Apart from this, school bags, dress, books and reading and writing items will also be given to them free of cost.
• The girl students who are deprived of the scholarship of the Social Welfare Department will also be provided the benefit of this scheme.
• Under the Ahilyabai Nishulk Shiksha Yojana, the facility of fee reimbursement will be given to the girl students living below the poverty line of all religions and castes.
• The girl students who do not get the fee reimbursement from the Social Welfare Department, their fees will also be transferred back to their account through this scheme.

The main objective of this scheme is to promote the education of girls in the state. So that more and more girls can be educated and become self-reliant and empowered for the future. Because there are many girls who want to get education but they are not able to get education due to weak financial condition of their family. Now, through the Ahilyabai Free Education Scheme in the state, poor girls will be able to get free education up to graduation level. Due to which the plight of girls in the state will improve. Chief Minister’s initiative to start UP Ahilyabai Nishulk Shiksha Yojana is very commendable because this scheme is providing the right to get education even to the girls living below the poverty line.

Assistance given under Ahilyabai Nishulk Shiksha Yojana

• UP Ahilyabai Nishulk Shiksha Yojana has been started by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, in the interest of daughters living below the poverty line of their state.
• Through this scheme, the state government will provide free education to eligible girls till they get their graduation degree.
• That is, all the education expenses of all the eligible girls like fees, dress, uniform, books and all other educational items etc. will be borne by the state government.
• This scheme will increase the literacy rate by boosting the education level in the state. Due to which the mentality built towards girls in the society can be changed.
• With the launch of UP Ahilyabai Free Education Scheme, now poor families will not have to worry about the education of their daughters.

Eligibility under Uttar Pradesh Ahilyabai Free Education Scheme

• Only girls are eligible to apply under Uttar Pradesh Ahilyabai Free Education Scheme.
• It is mandatory for the applicant girl to be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.
• Only girls living below the poverty line are eligible to take advantage of this scheme.
• The applicant should have a bank account which is linked with Aadhar card.

Application Process Under UP Ahilyabai Nishulk Shiksha Yojana

• First of all students have to contact their school/university/college managers.
• After this, the student will be registered under the scheme by the manager. The entire process of registration will be done by the managers of the school/university/college.
• By registering the name of the girl student, all her details will be sent to the Higher Education Department.
• After this, a list of the names of the girl students to be benefited will be prepared by the Higher Education Department after verifying all the details.
• Only girls whose name will be included in this list will be provided free education under UP Ahilyabai Nishulk Shiksha Yojana.
