On September 30, 2022, the Haryana government has announced the implementation of another new scheme to promote the small traders of its state and to compensate for the losses caused by floods, fires, cyclonic storms, etc. The name of this scheme is Mukhyamantri Vyapari Kshatipurti Bima Yojana.

Mukhyamantri Vyapari Kshatipurti Beema Yojana has been planned in the interest of small businessmen of Haryana. Under this scheme, small traders will be compensated for the loss of stock due to fire, flood, cyclonic storm etc. at the normal insurance rate. Under this scheme, the state government will also provide booths to small traders in urban areas at subsidized rates. The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HSVP) will give 25% discount on the market price to the traders at these booths but this discount will not be given to the occupants. At present the cost of the booth is Rs 17 lakh but after the discount this booth will be available to the traders for Rs 13 lakh. Apart from this, arrangements have also been made to provide 75% loan to the traders from the bank.
If the allottee deposits the entire amount within 180 days, he will also be given a rebate on the entire interest. Mukhyamantri Vyapari Kshatipurti Bima Yojana will develop the retail small traders of the state by shifting them from street markets to pucca booths and will protect them from losses due to calamities like fire, flood.

Small traders will also be included in the Traders Compensation Scheme
The scope of Chief Minister’s Business Compensation Scheme has been increased by the Haryana Government. Now small traders will also be included under this scheme. It has been said by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar that from April 1 those traders will also be included in this scheme. Whose annual turnover is from zero to 1.5 crore rupees. Let us tell you that earlier only traders with an annual turnover of more than 1.5 crores were included under this scheme.
Under this scheme, compensation will be provided for loss of goods due to reasons like fire, accident, natural calamity. Traders whose annual turnover is Rs.20 lakh. Now they will get free CA certificate for GST registration from state government empaneled chartered account. The cost of which will be borne by the state government. The benefit of this scheme will be given to those traders who are registered under the GST Act 2017 in the State or Central Jurisdiction as on 31st March or the date of registration.
Objective of Mukhyamantri Vyapari Kshatipurti Bima Yojana
The main objective of the state government to implement this scheme in Haryana is to compensate small traders for the loss of stock of goods due to fire or flood. For which small traders will have to get themselves registered under this scheme. After this, the damage caused to them will be compensated according to the normal insurance rate.
Apart from this, pucca booths will also be made available to small traders in urban areas under the Mukhyamantri Vyapari Kshatipurti Bima Yojana. - Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced to implement Mukhyamantri Vyapari Kshatipurti Bima Yojana in the state on Friday, 30 September in the interest of small traders.
- Under this scheme, the state government will compensate the loss of stock of goods due to fire and flood etc. at the normal insurance rate to the traders.
- Through the Haryana Traders Compensation Insurance Scheme, small traders in the state will be allotted pucca booths at subsidized rates in urban areas.
- Under this scheme, small traders of Haryana will be given a discount of 25% in the market price by the Urban Development Authority. But this exemption will not be given to the occupants.
