Uttarakhand Gaura Devi Kanya Dhan Yojana 2024

Gaura Devi Kanya Dhan Yojana has been launched by the Government of Uttarakhand for the girls of economically weaker sections of the state. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 50000 will be provided by the government to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and BPL (SC, ST, EWS) class girls coming below the poverty line. To get benefits under this Nanda Gaura Devi Kanya Dhan Yojana, the girl student should be in inter or 12th class from a school under the board recognized by the Central Government / State Government located in the state. Only then she can apply under this scheme.

Under this scheme, a total of 2659 schools have been registered in Uttarakhand so far, in which 32870 applications have been received by the government through schools. Under the Nanda Gaura Devi Kanya Dhan Yojana, the amount given by the government will be given after the girl passes 12th. Under this scheme, the girl student should be unmarried and her age should be less than 25 years on July 01 of the year in which the application is being made.

Gaura Devi Kanya Dhan Yojana assistance amount

Many schemes are run by the government for the safety and development of the girl child. One such scheme is Gaura Devi Kanya Dhan Yojana. Under this scheme, an amount of ₹ 11000 is provided on the birth of a girl child in Uttarakhand and after passing 12th standard, an amount of ₹ 52000 is provided for higher education. The beneficiaries who applied in the year 2019-20 did not receive the amount of this scheme. There is good news for all those beneficiaries. Assistance amount will be provided to all the beneficiaries soon under Gaura Devi Kanya Dhan Yojana.

• Rs 4 crore has been allocated for this scheme in Nainital district of Uttarakhand. Now all those people who did not get the benefit amount due to Carona virus infection will be provided the benefit amount of this scheme by the government. For which the development block budget will be issued.
• Applications were received from 401 12th pass and 284 female births from Nainital district. According to which Rs 5 crore 97 lakh is required. 4 crore has been received for the first installment. It has been assured by the department that after providing the amount of the first installment to the beneficiaries, the budget will be demanded from the government for the remaining applications.

The benefit of Nanda Gaura Devi Kanya Dhan Yojana can be availed by SC, ST, BPL, OBC girls from the rural areas of the state, whose annual family income should be Rs 15976 (Annual family income Rs 15976) and urban girls (Urban girls ) The annual income of the family should be Rs.21206. Features of Gaura Devi Kanya Dhan Yojana

• Gaura Devi Kanya Dhan Yojana was started in the year 2017 by the Government of Uttarakhand.
• The main objective of starting this scheme is to provide empowerment to the girls of the state by providing financial assistance.
• All those girls whose annual family income is ₹ 72000 or less can apply under this scheme.
• To get the benefit of this scheme, the annual income has been fixed at ₹ 15976 for the families falling under the reserve category and below the poverty line.
• Financial assistance of ₹ 11000 will be provided to small girls by the government and when she passes 12th standard, she will be provided financial assistance of ₹ 52000.
• A total of 2685 schools are registered under this scheme.
• This year 32870 applications have been received under this scheme.
• Till now about 50000 girls have been provided the benefit of this scheme.
• In 2021, the budget of this scheme has been fixed at Rs 89 crore.

Benefits of Uttarakhand Gaura Devi Kanya Dhan Scheme

• The benefit of this scheme will be provided to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and BPL (SC, ST, EWS) category girls of Uttarakhand.

• The applicant should be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand.
• Under the Uttarakhand Nanda Gaura Devi Kanya Dhan Yojana, the annual income of the family of the rural area applicant should be Rs 15976 and the annual income of the urban area applicant’s family should be Rs 21206.
• The applicant should belong to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and BPL category coming below the poverty line.
• The girl child should be a student of class 12.
• Under Gaura Devi Kanya Dhan Yojana, the student should be unmarried and her age should be less than 25 years on July 01 of the year in which the application is being made.
