HP Rajiv Gandhi Swarojgar Yojana 2024

Himachal Government has established the new Rajiv Gandhi Swarojgar Yojana to promote self-employment and entrepreneurship for the youth. Through this scheme, facilities will be provided to encourage the youth of the state to set up new industrial enterprises. Under this scheme, up to 90% loan will be given to the beneficiaries for setting up a new industry, 10% of the expenditure will be borne by the beneficiary himself. Applicants will have to submit a common application form on the portal available on the departmental website to avail the benefits of this scheme. The scheme focuses on establishing an enterprise based ecosystem in the state.

To promote self-employment and entrepreneurship for the youth of Himachal Pradesh, the state government has started Rajiv Gandhi Swarojgar Yojana. The aim of this scheme is to provide incentives to new projects especially related to green sector. Under Rajiv Gandhi Swarojgar Yojana, the state government will encourage youth to buy e-buses, electrical taxis, electrical trucks. Apart from this, facilities will also be provided to encourage youth for dental clinics, commercial solar energy projects up to 1 MW and fisheries projects.

Banks will provide most of the project cost for setting up new industries under this scheme by the state government, while the beneficiary will have to make only a partial financial contribution. Under this scheme, enterprises are required to start commercial production within two years of receiving the first installment of loan from the bank.

Objective of Rajiv Gandhi Swarojgar Yojana

Unemployment has suddenly increased due to factories being closed during the lockdown. Due to which people are very disappointed and frustrated due to poverty and economic problems. There is a lot of despair due to unemployment, especially among the youth. Keeping all these points in mind, Rajiv Gandhi Swarojgar Yojana has been started by the Himachal Pradesh Government. The objective of this scheme is to make the youth of the state empowered, self-reliant and economically strong. Also, Himachal Pradesh has to be made the first green energy state of the country.

Through Rajiv Gandhi Swarojgar Yojana, the youth of the state will be given encouragement and assistance to establish new industries. Which will help in eliminating unemployment. Under the scheme, banks will provide 90 percent of the project cost in the form of term or composite loan, while 10 percent of the expenditure will be borne by the beneficiary.

Grant received under Himachal Rajiv Gandhi Swarojgar Yojana

It has been told by Chief Minister Sukhu ji that if any youth of the state wants to establish a dental clinic or wants to expand projects related to fish farming, then he will be provided a grant by the state government. Let us tell you that the grant given by Himachal Pradesh Government will be payable for equipment up to Rs 60 lakh. Features of Self-Employment Scheme

Unemployed youth of Himachal Pradesh will benefit from this scheme.
By 2026, Himachal Pradesh will prove beneficial in becoming the first “Green Energy State” of the country and developing as a model state for electrical vehicles through Rajiv Gandhi Swarojgar Yojana.
Under Rajiv Gandhi Swarojgar Yojana, youth will be encouraged to buy e-buses, electrical taxis, electrical trucks.
Apart from this, facilities will also be provided for commercial solar energy project up to 1 MW, for setting up dental clinic and for fisheries project to encourage the youth.
Under this scheme, the government will provide 25% subsidy to the eligible applicants on a maximum investment of Rs 60 lakh for plant and machinery or equipment. But the total project cost including working capital should not exceed Rs 1 crore.
The limit of investment subsidy for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes is 30% while for women and disabled beneficiaries this limit has been fixed at 35%.
The subsidy limit for all categories of investors purchasing e-taxi, e-truck, e-bus and e-tempo is fixed at 50%.
Himachal Government has allocated a corpus fund of Rs 10 crore for effective operation of the scheme.

Eligibility for Himachal Pradesh Rajiv Gandhi Swarojgar Yojana

To avail the benefits of this scheme, the beneficiary must be a resident of Himachal.
The age of the beneficiary should be between 18 years to 45 years. Female applicants have been given a relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age limit.
Beneficiaries of Rajiv Gandhi Swarojgar Yojana should be at least 10th pass.
The applicant should not have availed the benefit of any other scheme of the Central or State Government.
The applicant should not have been declared bankrupt by any bank or institution.
