WB Karmai Dharma was launched by keeping in view the problems that the youth is facing in today’s world when the employment statistics are desperately going down with the upcoming time. The Chief Minister of West Bengal state Mamta Banerjee announced this scheme on Monday. This scheme was announced by addressing the grievance of the people which were submitted at the block level. It is said that this scheme will provide a healthy environment for the small businesses that the people of the region are starting due to the unemployment statistics.

Objective of West Bengal Karmai Dharma Scheme
We all know that there are many such people in the state who are roaming around unemployed and all of them are not getting any work for their livelihood, by which it becomes very difficult for the poor citizens to live. Keeping this in mind the Government of West Bengal has started the West Bengal Karmai Dharma Scheme. Under the WB Karmai Dharma Scheme, 2 lakh unemployed citizens will be benefited by financial assistance to buy cycles so that they can roam across the state and earn their livelihood by selling their goods. It has been given that through the West Bengal Karmai Dharma Scheme, people will get a lot of help and benefits, through which all of them can live their life well.
Benefits Of WB Karmai Dharma Scheme
The main benefit which will provide through the implementation of the WB Karmai Dharma is the self-employment nature of the scheme. Around two lakh youth will be benefited from one motorcycle each and it is also said that financial aid will be given to these beneficiaries from cooperative banks. The bikes will also have boxes at the backseat so that the youth can carry certain items in those boxes. The bikes will be highly beneficial for delivering certain items. Through these bikes, the small businesses that the youth is starting nowadays will be benefited. The Chief Minister also said that they will be providing a hundred percent scholarship to the meritorious students.
Eligibility Criteria of the scheme
Applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria while applying for the West Bengal scheme:-
- First of all, the applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal state.
- The applicant must be unemployed.
- An applicant must be in search of a good job.
- The applicant must have completed their class 10th and 12th examination from a recognised board.
- The people who are willingly starting a new business or venture and are in need of some funding can apply for the scheme.
